The Nanaimo RCMP Serious Crime Unit is continuing their investigation into the death of an adult man whose body was located on Thursday September 12, 2024. Based on evidence found to date, the death is now considered a homicide. To further the investigation, investigators are releasing the name and photo of the deceased and other relevant photos.

42-year old Lee Harland of no fixed address was found deceased in a woody area by the railway tracks near Kennedy St at Comox Road, behind the Nanaimo curling rink.
