Unsolved crimes from October 17th to October 23rd - Stolen portable sawmill, mountain bike and trading cards

Nanaimo file # 2022-37585 Sometime between October 17, 2022 and October 23, 2022, a portable sawmill, valued at approximately $30,000, was stolen from a rural property located in the 3200 block of Jingle Pot Road. Thieves cut the lock off the gate, then drove approximately 75 metres along the driveway, then hitched the sawmill to either a pickup or car and towed it off the property. The sawmill is referred to as a Wood-Mizer LT40 with serial # 456B4241-03NDJ6919J6.05

Nanaimo file # 2022-36899 Sometime overnight on Tuesday October 18th, 2022,  Dealers Choice, located at 14 Lois Lane was broken into. The business, which buys and sells trading cards, had its front door pried open with a pry bar and their front window smashed. A number of collectible trading cards were taken.

Nanaimo file # 2022-37474 At approximately 1:00 PM on Saturday October 22, 2022, a mountain bike was stolen from in front of a home in the 5300 block of Coastview Place. The owner of the bike told police he had stopped in to see a family member for just a few minutes, and had left the bike unlocked in front of the house. When he went to leave, the bike was gone. A neighbour later said that an unknown man was seen riding off with the bike, and that this person was wearing a grey hoody with a large white logo on the back. The bike is blue/black Kona 150 Precept with serial # H6E219520. Of note, the left peddle on the bike is cracked.
