The goal of the Burnaby Crime Prevention Section is to promote "Partners For a Safe Community" for everyone in the City of Burnaby. This is accomplished by providing support to our internal and external partners through the variety of community programs offered at the Detachment.

Our mission is to promote and support effective solutions to criminal activity, victimization and shared community issues through education, prevention, intervention and enforcement. The Burnaby Crime Prevention Section supports a variety of crime prevention initiatives that complement the Detachment’s Crime Reduction Strategy. We also focus on the establishment, expansion and strengthening of partnerships between colleagues, partners, government agencies and, most importantly, the community we serve.
