BC Highway Patrol investigating fatal collision on Hwy 97A

On Saturday July 1, 2023 at approximately 12:00pm, Vernon North Okanagan Rural RCMP were called to a single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in a cross walk on Highway 97A at Canyon Rd in Enderby, BC.

Initial investigation has revealed that a lone male was attempting to cross at a lighted marked cross walk at Hwy 97A and Canyon Rd when he was struck by a Subaru Impreza. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

BC Highway Patrol - Kelowna has since taken conduct of the investigation. Anyone who may have information, including motorists who may have witnessed this collision or have dash cam video are asked contact BCHP – Kelowna at 250-491-5354 and reference file 2023-2750.
