Homicide team takes conduct of Devon Goodrick missing person investigation

Devon Goodrick was last seen on September 25, 2021 at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the area of 192 Street and 28 Avenue in Surrey. On September 27, Devon Goodrick was reported missing to the Langley RCMP. Langley RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit has been conducting an extensive missing person investigation.

On October 8, 2021, IHIT took conduct of the investigation in accordance with its mandate to investigate high-risk missing persons and suspicious deaths.

IHIT is working closely with Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit. Investigators are speaking with family and associates of Goodrick and have completed a neighbourhood canvassing for CCTV and constructing a timeline.

IHIT is seeking public assistance to locate anyone with information on the disappearance of Devon Goodrick. We are working closely with our partners and we are making a public plea for anyone with information on Devon to come forward, says IHIT spokesperson, Detective Corporal Dhesi.

Devon Goodrick is described as Caucasian, 26-years-old, 6’4 tall, and approximately 250 lbs. He has short brown hair, green eyes, and light facial hair. He was wearing a full black Hugo Boss tracksuit with a blue stripe.

At this time, Devon Goodrick’s disappearance is not believed to be connect to the ongoing Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
