File # 19-0261

A man has been found guilty of the second degree murder of Tee Bor in 2019, and has been sentenced to life in prison with eligibility for parole in 12 years.

Background:
On February 17, 2019, 68-year old Tee Bor was stabbed at his Surrey residence on 105 Avenue near 132 Street. Following an extensive investigation, in July of 2019, 28-year old, Pee Lee Pi was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

On February 18, 2021, Mr. Pi was found guilty of second-degree murder.

On July 9, 2021, Mr. Pi received a life sentence. The family of Mr. Bor were present during the sentencing and provided a victim impact statement.

A significant amount of effort went into this investigation and prosecution by the police and the BC Prosecution Service, said Sergeant David Lee of IHIT. We hope this outcome helps the family and friends of Mr. Bor find the closure they need.
