IHIT investigating found human remains in Hope

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is calling on the public to help further its investigation into the discovery of human remains in Hope, B.C.

Hope: On March 29, 2021 at 10:00 hours, the UFVRD responded to a report of human remains recovered in the area south of Silver Creek in Hope, B.C. The circumstances were deemed suspicious and IHIT has taken conduct of the investigation.

IHIT is working closely with the UFVRD, the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) and the B.C. Coroners Service to gather evidence.

The priority will be to identify the human remains and notify the next of kin. There is no further information at this time.
