IHIT investigating homicide in Abbotsford

Abbotsford: The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken conduct of a homicide investigation in Abbotsford.

On March 3, 2021 Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a 911 call in the 32000 block of Slocan Drive. On arrival, an injured man was located at the scene and transported to hospital. On March 14, 2021, the man succumbed to his injuries and IHIT took conduct of the investigation.

IHIT has been working closely with the Abbotsford Police Department and the BC Coroner’s Service to gather evidence and complete priority tasks.

To further the investigation, IHIT can confirm that the victim has been identified as 61 year-old Jeevan Singh Sull of Abbotsford. This is believed to be an isolated incident between parties known to each other, however IHIT is appealing for witnesses.

Investigators believe there may have been witnesses in the area who have information, including dash cam footage and CCTV, says Detective Lara Jansen of IHIT, we are urging anyone who was in the 32000 block of Slocan Drive on March 3, 2021, between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to contact IHIT.
