Arrest and search warrant leads to significant firearm and drug seizure

The Dawson Creek RCMP have removed illegal firearms, ammunitions and multiple kilograms of drugs from a residence in Dawson Creek.
On August 29, 2024 at approximately 10:30 am police arrested Tanner Murray, age 30. Tanner has been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, obstructing a police officer and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The arrest of Tanner lead police to believe there were illegal items in a related residence in the area of Alaska Avenue and 14th Street, Dawson Creek.
Police quickly executed a search warrant of the related residence and seized multiple illegal items including: 4 firearms, over 1000 rounds of ammunition, several prohibited magazines, over 1.2 kg of suspected fentanyl and heroin, over 700 grams of cannabis, 500 ml of suspected GHB, over 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over 100 grams of suspect psilocybin mushrooms amongst many other quantities of drugs and other weapons. Police are pursing additional charges in relation to the items seized.
