Vehicle on fire

On March 20, 2024 a caller reported a vehicle was on fire in a pullout off of Trans Canada Hwy 1 near Siska in Lytton. A Lytton RCMP member responded and conducted the investigation and learned the vehicle had been parked there for several weeks. Fire crews put out the fire. The owner later called police and advised it was her vehicle. Theft from vehicle

On March 20, 2024 a man in Lillooet reported someone had stolen his grey mini iPad from his pick-up truck sometime overnight. The truck was parked outside his residence, the doors however were left unlocked. There was no security cameras, witnesses, or suspects. Theft of vehicle

On March 21, 2024 at 2:37 am a caller in Lillooet reported his work pick-up truck was stolen from outside his residence. A Lillooet RCMP member responded and conducted patrols which were unfruitful. Near by neighbours were spoken to the following day for potential security camera footage. The vehicle however was ultimately located on March 24, 2024 in Penticton, it had been left abandoned there for several days. The vehicle was retrieved by the owner who was grateful for the outcome. On March 22, 2024 BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) requested the attendance of a Lytton RCMP member to a call where a man was hit in the face by a shovel at a residence on Spencer road North. A Lytton RCMP member attended and found a man intoxicated with injuries to his head. The matter is still under investigation.
Mental Health Act

On March 24, 2024 a woman near Lillooet had contacted a mental health crisis line and stated she had planned to shoot herself. Lillooet RCMP were notified and responded and subsequently apprehended the woman under the Mental Health Act as she was a risk to her self. The woman was brought to the Lillooet hospital to be assessed by a Doctor and to receive on going Mental Health support. There was no further police involvement.
Check well being

On March 27, 2024 a caller requested police check on her sister as she had not heard from her in days. Lillooet-Lytton RCMP members attended the sister’s residence and spoke with her, she advised she was well, she clarified she did not have a working cellphone at the time. The caller was updated on the police interaction.
Break and enter

On April 2, 2024 a caller reported the Lillooet District water treatment plant was broken in to and tools were taken. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet-Lytton RCMP, please reference Lillooet-Lytton RCMP file 2024-606.
