Early morning break and enter suspect remains in custody

On January 6, 2024 at 2:23am, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of an in-progress commercial break and enter into a business located on the 9400 block of 100th Street, Fort St John.
Fort St John RCMP immediately attended and observed that entry to the business had been made through a smashed glass front door. Frontline police officers entered the business and located the suspect who was attempting to hide from police. The suspect was arrested without incident.
Michael Underhill was held for court and is facing one charge of Break and Enter with Intent.
Underhill has been remanded into police custody until January 17, 2024, when he will reappear in court.
