Assault

2023-2626

On December 9, 2023 a woman called police requesting assistance as she and her boyfriend got in to an argument and pushed each other. The boyfriend left before Lillooet RCMP arrived. The woman was reluctant to cooperate, she did not want further police involvement after the boyfriend left. She declined seeking any medical assistance as well. Lillooet RCMP patrolled for the boyfriend, he was not located. The woman had support persons near by, she declined further police involvement. Lillooet RCMP are to conduct another follow up with the woman.

Assistance during overdose

2023-2631

On December 10, 2023 BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) requested assistance with a female who was overdosing at a gas station in Lytton. The female was coming in and out of consciousness becoming violent when she would wake up. Lytton RCMP members attended and assisted BCAS in getting the female into a stretcher safely. The female was taken to the hospital for further medical check up without issue.

Check well being

2023-2644

On December 12, 2023 Lillooet RCMP received a report of an intoxicated and suicidal person on Main st. A Lillooet RCMP member located a man well known to police, he denied being suicidal and advised he was trying to find a place to sleep until he could sober up, he advised his grandmother would let him stay with her. The man was transported to his grandmother’s home and escorted to her care without issue.

Mental Health Act

2023-2645

On December 13, 2023 BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) requested police assistance for a suicidal woman in Lytton who had cut her wrist. Lytton RCMP members attended with BCAS. The woman was intoxicated, she told police she was frustrated with herself and her life circumstances. She stated she did not intend to kill her self. The woman willingly went to the Lillooet hospital in an ambulance with BCAS for further medical check up. There were no further police concerns or police involvement.

Break and enter

2023-2693

On December 20, 2023 an employee at the Lillooet Cookhouse reported a break in occurring 3 days prior, late in the evening. Several individuals had reportedly gained access into the basement of the building and turned off the power to the freezers [believed to be done due to the noise so they could sleep inside] which caused $1400 worth of food spoilage. The suspects reportedly left in the early hours of the morning. The matter is still under investigation.

Trespassing

2023-2705

On December 22, 2023 a man called and reported for documentation purposes that someone had trespassed on his grandmother’s property near Gun Lake, cutting down trees on the property which "fell into the water". There was no further information provided nor any action requested from police. The report was documented.

Check-stop program

2023-2721

On December 24, 2023 Lillooet RCMP members and Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police members conducted a vehicle check stop on Hwy 99 north, near Fountain Flats. A Lillooet RCMP member observed a vehicle which tried to evade the checkpoint by taking a side road, the member engaged in a traffic stop with that vehicle. The driver subsequently produced a fail result on an approved screening device (ASD) for alcohol above the legal limit in his system. He was immediately prohibited from driving for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded. The matter was referred to ICBC.

Warrant

2023-2733

On December 27, 2023 a caller in Lillooet reported there was a homeless person with a lot of stuff behind a commercial building on Main street, the person was asked to leave already. The caller requested police ask them to move from the property. Lillooet RCMP attended, two persons were seen packing their belongings to move. One of the individuals had an active outstanding warrant for his arrest. Lillooet RCMP arrested the man and dealt with the warrant.
