Creston RCMP responded to 113 calls between July 1-11, 2023 and these are the highlights:
July 3
- Officers attended a disturbance and found a man having a mental health episode. Officers were able to assist the man in calming himself and getting him medical attention. The man was grateful for the assistance.
July 5
- A vehicle was left unlocked at a residence and items were stolen out of it. Creston RCMP reminds the public to follow the 9:00 PM routine and secure all valuables each night.
July 8
- File 23-1747: Officers located Clark Hills in breach of his conditions. Hills was found to be with a woman that he has a no contact order with. Hills was arrested for breaching and lodged in cells. Hills was brought before the courts and released on conditions.
July 9
Officers located an impaired driver. The driver was issued a driving prohibition and his vehicle was impounded.
- Police were called to a disturbance at a residence. Officers located an intoxicated man that was causing issues at his ex-girlfriend’s residence. The man was arrested and lodged in cells to sober up.
July 10
- Police located a truck being driven with no insurance. The truck was towed at the owner’s expense.
- Officers assisted Canyon Lister Fire with a blaze in the area. A person was burning hazardous materials. The person was charged with multiple offences for the illegal fire. Creston RCMP reminds the public that all fires, including camp fires, are banned.
July 11
- Officers located a lost elderly man and returned him to his residence.
- Police were called to a mischief in progress. The suspects were arrested and the investigation is still ongoing.
