The Ashcroft RCMP are assisting the BC Coroners Service with the investigation after a body was discovered in the river.
On January 16, 2023 at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Ashcroft RCMP responded to a report of a body located in the river about 200 metres south of Ashcroft Bridge. The body was recovered from the river with the help of Search and Rescue.
The Ashcroft RCMP continue to assist the BC Coroners Service with the investigation.
