2022-7682/2022-7684 – Traffic enforcement

On December 12, 2022, members did traffic enforcement patrols in the downtown area, and saw a woman get out of her car and turn around once she saw them. When police spoke with her, she provided a false name, as she was prohibited from driving. Police served the woman driving documents and towed her car. In a second unrelated instance, members located a driver who was prohibited from driving but not yet served notice. Members issued this driver associated paperwork and a temporary driver licence so they could get their car home.

On December 12, 2022, a kind citizen came to the detachment to turn in a sum of money they found in the Eagle Run neighborhood. If the money belongs to you and you can identify the amount and related descriptors, contact the detachment. Police will hold the money for 90 days and if not claimed by the rightful owner, it will be turned over the kind citizen.

On December 8, 2022, between about 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., unknown persons broke some windows at Howe Sound Secondary School. Witnesses saw some people running away from the area during the time of the glass break, and police continue following up with this file.
