2. 2022-6659 – Car drives into house
On October 18, 2022, at about 7:15 p.m., police received multiple reports of a car being driven into a house in the 40300 Hood Rd. Members attended, and their investigation revealed the driver had consumed some liquor and drugs before driving. The driver got startled when he saw a bear, and put his foot on the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal. While the house and driver’s car were damaged, no one was injured. The driver provided breath samples into a screening device, and results stated WARN, meaning he should not legally be driving. Members issued the driver a three-day driving prohibition and violation ticket for no driver’s licence, and they impounded the driver’s car.

On October 19, 2022, at 6:10 p.m., a hit and run happened at a business in the 38900 block Progress Way. Surveillance video captured the driver of a grey pick up truck reverse and hit another car. The driver pretended to leave a note on the car he hit, but he took the note with him when he left the scene. Police continue following up with this matter.
