Witness Reported Shots Fired in a Residential Area

On the afternoon of August 10, 2022, between 2:00 and 3:00 pm, police received a report of shots fired in the area of Pine Ave in Thornhill.
A man in a white pick up was observed arriving at an address with multiple dwellings on it. The man approached one of the dwellings and several shots were heard. The same man departed in the same pick up truck.
Police attended and located shell casings at the address, however no occupants were located and there was no sign of anyone being injured. At this time, no victim has been identified.
Police are continuing to investigate this occurrence in attempts to identify the suspect.
If anyone in the area of Pine Ave believes they may have video surveillance of the incident or of the suspect vehicle they are asked to contact the RCMP at 250-638-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
