After over a year on the run from police, the Fort St John RCMP were informed the Vancouver Police Department has arrested 51-year-old Dana Nazarek on his Canada-wide warrant.
On June 29, 2021, Nazarek removed his electronic supervision bracelet while in Richmond, BC and failed to attend court that same day.
For a year, police have been attempting to locate Nazarek who was intentionally evading police.
On August 5, 2022, in the early hours of the morning, VPD officers conducting proactive patrols came upon a group of people in the Southeast district of Vancouver who may have been involved in a fight. VPD officers spoke with the persons on scene and located Nazarek who had an outstanding Canada-wide warrant. Nazarek was arrested and has been held for court.
