Chemainus Community Policing office is officially open!

Cowichan Community Policing and Engagement Society (CCP&ES) celebrated the official grand opening of their new Community Policing Office located near Waterwheel Park on August 3, 2022.

The new office shares a space within the Chemainus Chamber of Commerce and will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 4pm. CCP&ES are currently looking for more volunteers to help support a variety of programs, including Block Watch, Speed Watch, Business Watch and other initiatives to promote community safety. Sara Davidge-Cardinal from the CCP&ES was joined by Stephanie Ballantyne of the Chemainus Chamber of Commerce to officially open the office and welcome the public. Today is another milestone for Community Policing said Sara Davidge-Cardinal, Stephanie was instrumental in welcoming Community Policing to Chemainus and we are so grateful for the support of the Chamber of Commerce. Acting North Cowichan Mayor Debra Toporowski and Councillor Rossalie Sawrie were joined by RCMP members to commemorate the grand opening.

CCP&ES also have offices located in Duncan at #5-2628 Beverly Street and in Cowichan Bay at 1721E Cowichan Bay Road, where they are happy to meet new volunteers and hear from the community.
