With just 54 days until the Cops for Cancer Tour De North 2022 begins their bike tour, the local "North Peace Blue Flames" riding team wishes to take an opportunity to thank Fort St John and area for the financial and emotional support they received on Saturday, July 9, at their car wash/hot dog fundraiser.

Even before the actual starting time, local residence were arriving and lining up to support the cause helping to raise $1500 by the end of the day. 

The Tour de North begins on September 14th and goes until September 20th with riders covering over 800 km of beautiful northern BC, to fund life-saving pediatric cancer research and caring support programs like Camp Goodtimes to reduce its impact.

Additional ways to financially support Tour de North 2022

There are multiple additional ways that local residents can continue to financially support the 2022 Cops for Cancer Tour de North team.

The first is by going to the Tour de North Canadian Cancer Society web page and making a financial donation while also tracking the progress the Tour de North team is making in their fundraising efforts. 

Secondly, an exciting Cops for Cancer 2022 raffle has been announced in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society where individuals can purchase raffle tickets online for $10 per ticket with a chance to win:

Prize # 1 - two-day Rocky Mountaineer rail journey in the GoldLeaf Service for two people (value at $5,000)

Prize # 2 – One roundtrip flight for two guests to any regularly scheduled WestJet destination (valued at up to $2,900)

Prize # 3 - Vancouver Luxury Weekend Package. Includes one night stay for two people in a Fairmont Gold Harbour View room at the Vancouver Pacific Rim, private helicopter tour for up to 5 people with Talon Helicopters, $500 shopping spree with Cadillac Fairview Pacific Centre. (valued at $2,500)
