With warmer weather, people tend to spend more time outdoors, enjoying the gifts of Mother Nature.
While hiking, camping and exploring the great outdoors, it is important to be prepared beyond the backpack and hiking boots.

Before heading out, let someone know what your plans are. Where you are going to be and what time you expect to return.

While most of us have a cell phone, there are many backcountry places where there is no cell coverage and relying solely on your phone in the event of an emergency may prove to be ineffective.
