Police are looking for any witnesses to come forward in relation to a stabbing that occurred over the weekend.

On May 22, 2022, at approximately 4:30 am, Terrace RCMP received a report of a man who was bleeding heavily after receiving multiple stab wounds.

The man had been sleeping in an alcove of a vacant building on the 3200 block of Kalum Street when suspects assaulted him. Police believe there may have been two suspects which were associated to a grey SUV that left the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was in critical condition, however after medical attention, is expected to recover from the injuries.

This incident is believed to have been targeted and police believe that the public is not at risk in
relation to this event.

Police are asking that if anyone has any information about this incident, or surveillance cameras in the area, to contact the Terrace Detachment at 250-638-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
