On Friday May 6, 2022, Merritt RCMP Front Line Officers attended a single vehicle collision on the Coquihalla Highway where the driver had fallen asleep and gone off road right, rolling their vehicle multiple times. Inside the vehicle officers located a brave little kitten and transported her back to Merritt. An officer came into work on her day off, took the kitten to a local vet and had her assessed with only minor bruising. The kitten was then reunited with her owner.
