On March 18th, 2022, the Fort St John Crime Reduction and Drug Unit arrested Gavin James Davis for breaching the conditions of his Probation.
The arrest on March 18, 2022 led to a search warrant being executed on Davis' approved residence, which yielded two loaded shotguns and a significant amount of illicit drugs packaged for sale. Davis and his girlfriend, Amber Stertz, were both subsequently arrested on additional charges.

Davis, who was on probation for previous firearm and violent offences, was charged with several counts of breach as well as new firearm and drug trafficking charges.

Stertz was also charged with firearm and drug trafficking offences and released on an Undertaking with a future court date of June 20, 2022, due to minimal criminal history .
Davis remains in custody until March 28th, when the potential for his release will be considered by the courts.
