Suspicious person
On February 9 a woman reported seeing a suspicious man wearing a trench coat, and casing houses on Hollywood Cres. Lillooet RCMP located the man nearby where he was living, who stated he was looking for a $200 flashlight he had lost. As no offence had occurred, police were unable to take any further action. There were also no reported thefts in the area over the next several days.

Road check
On February 10 at 11:00pm Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Police conducted a road check in the 800 block of Main St. Approximately 20 vehicles were checked. One roadside breath demand was given and a 24 hour driving prohibition was issued to that driver.

Theft of pie
On February 11 at 9:00 an employee at the Buy-Low Foods reported that a man had just walked out of the store with an apple pie and began eating it on a bench just outside the store. Lillooet RCMP attended and located the man eating the pie on the bench, who also admitted to stealing the pie. The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges, and the pie stealer was arrested for theft. The man was subsequently released on conditions and a future court date.

On February 11 a man reported he was assaulted by a 41 year old man in the 1000 block of Main St. The complainant reported he had observed the 41 year old urinating in public and informed him there was a washroom inside. The urinating man then head butted the complainant and began elbowing his vehicle causing several dents. Lillooet RCMP identified the 41 year old, who will be arrested once located.

Breach of conditions sends man to jail
On February 13 at 2:00pm a man reported that his brother and brother’s girlfriend broke into his house and passed out on the couch. The complainant also reported that the boyfriend was on conditions to have no contact with woman. Lillooet RCMP attended and arrested the boyfriend that was on no contact conditions. Due to the nature of the original file, the man was held for a bail hearing and remanded to Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre.

Cause disturbance
On February 15 at 4:00pm a complainant reporting hearing a man and woman yelling at each other for over 40 minutes where Seton River meets the Fraser River. Lillooet RCMP attended and located the couple who denied any yelling. The man was driven to a restaurant in town to allow cooler heads to prevail.
