Property rights
On February 3 a man reported that his sister was trespassing and stole several items from his property in Lillooet. There were no witnesses or other evidence that supported the sister stealing anything. The man then revealed his father and aunt actually own the property. Police contacted the sister who denied stealing anything. The mother of both advised that her son did not own the property, and that her daughter was attending the property to care for the father who lived there. All parties were referred to take up a civil proceeding if there were disputes over ownership of the property.

Intoxicated in public

On February 3 at 5pm Lillooet RCMP were informed of an intoxicated man in the 600 block of Main St. Police attended and located the man, who appeared heavily intoxicated and was arrested for being drunk in public. The man was held in cells overnight to safely sober up, and was released the next morning.

Breach of conditions sends man to jail
On February 4 at 11pm a woman reported that a man known to her was breaching his release order conditions from an incident on January 26 involving both parties and an assault with a weapon. Lillooet RCMP attended the residence and arrested the man without incident. The man was held overnight for bail hearing and subsequently remanded by a Justice of the Peace. The man was transported to Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre for a future court hearing.

Intoxicated in public
On February 6 at 1am a man reported hearing screaming and fighting in the 600 block of Russel Lane. Police attended and dispersed the group who were having a party inside an apartment. Shortly after, one man was located with an open can of Mike’s Hard Lime on the street. The man could not put together a proper sentence and was heavily intoxicated. Police arrested the man for being intoxicated in public and transported him to Lillooet cells to sleep it off. The man was also served a violation ticket for consuming liquor in an open container in a public place in the amount of $230.
