The Salmon Arm is seeking witnesses to a motor vehicle collision with a pedestrian that occurred yesterday evening.
On December 30, 2021, at 6:12 p.m., Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of 5th Ave SW and 3rd St SW. A 57-year-old man was struck while crossing a crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle, which is suspected to be an early 2000's Chevrolet Tahoe, dark coloured potentially purple or maroon, did not stop and departed from the scene of the collision.

The man was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
Sgt. Scott Lachapelle, Operations NCO of the Salmon Arm RCMP states, "We are seeking any witness to the event or any person that may have information pertaining to the vehicle, or driver. If you have information please contact Salmon Arm RCMP at (250) 832-6044."
