Road check

On December 15, 2021 at 9:30pm Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Police conducted a road check for valid insurance, driver license and driver sobriety at Station Hill. Approximately 25 vehicles were checked with no impaired drivers found. One violation ticket for fail to display L and drive without supervisor was issued to one class 7 driver.

Road check

On December 16, 2021 at 9:35pm Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Police conducted a road check for valid insurance, driver license and driver sobriety at Powerhouse Rd and Hwy 99S. Approximately 20 vehicles were checked with no impaired drivers found. No other motor vehicle act infractions were found.

Liquor Act

On December 17, 2021 at 3:20 pm, Lillooet RCMP were on patrol and attended Museum Park where several open cans of beer were observed on a bench. Police requested the group pour out the open beers cans. The group was cooperative and no one appeared intoxicated. Lillooet RCMP continue to monitor and actively patrol Museum Park.

Road check

On December 17, 2021 at 7:30pm Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Police conducted a road check for valid insurance, driver license and driver sobriety at Fountain Valley Rd and Hwy 99N. Approximately 35 vehicles were checked with no impaired drivers found. One violation ticket was issued for No Insurance on a trailer. Several verbal warnings for other minor Motor Vehicle Act violations were given.

Suspicious Person

On December 17, 2021 at 10pm a complainant reported seeing a male with a flashlight inside a residence on Fraserview St and was concerned. Lillooet RCMP attended and located a male inside who stated he was staying at the house for a few nights while the owner was away and he was using a headlight to move tires into a shed outside. Police were able to speak with the actual home owner who confirmed that his friend was in fact staying there, and there were no further concerns.

Intoxicated in Public

On December 19, 2021 at 7:30pm BC Ambulance advised Lillooet RCMP of an intoxicated male laying on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Main St. Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Police attended and located a 59 year old male smelling of alcohol with slurred speech and unable to walk on his own. The male was unable to provide police with a safe place to transport him, so he was lodged in cells overnight to safely sober up. The male was released the next morning.
