On November 16, 2021, just before 4am, Fort St John RCMP received a report of a break and enter at the convenience store/gas station located at 16960 Hwy 97 North in Wonowon, BC.
Police attended and found that two suspects, both believed to be men, had broke into the convenience store and stole the ATM along with cigarettes, liquor and fireworks before departing the scene northbound on the Alaska Highway.

- blue and silver in colour,
- 4 door crew cab,
- 4x4,
- large grey/silver slip tank in the truck box.
On November 17, mid afternoon, the Fort St John RCMP recovered the ATM, which was badly damaged, north of Wonowon on the Mile 109 Rd just off of the Alaska Highway.
The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who may have dash cam video from around that time or additional information in this matter to contact police. If you have information about this incident, you are asked to contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
