Two counts of Fail to Remain at the Scene of Collision Involving Death have been approved in a double fatal pedestrian/vehicle collision from fall of 2019.
On September 18, 2019, Fort St John RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision where the driver struck two pedestrians prior to leaving the scene in the downtown area of Fort St John.
After a lengthy investigation, BC Prosecution Services has approved charges. The driver has been summonsed to appear in court for first appearance on November 29, 2021.
