The Outer Gulf Islands RCMP bids farewell to newly promoted Sergeant Lee Dyson, who has served the Saturna, Mayne, Galliano and Pender Islands community as detachment commander for the past two years. DYSON has been promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and will be the new detachment commander for Powell River RCMP.
"The past two years have been an amazing experience" said Sgt. Dyson. "But it’s time to move on to my family’s next adventure. It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to work in this beautiful part of the world, and meet so many of the great residents here. Thank you to each of you for the warm welcome when I arrived, and for the support of the work our Members do here. We have worked hard to meet your expectations. You have an incredible group of first responders working on the islands, from the many Fire/Rescue services, BC Ambulance, and first responder medics with whom we have built great working relationships and I am extremely grateful and thankful for those."
Outer Gulf Islands RCMP thanks Sgt. Dyson for his dedication, leadership and wish him all the best in his new role.
