RCMP investigate single fatality after two vehicle collision

On Monday, November 25, around 5:35pm, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a 2 vehicle head-on collision with unknown injuries by Shepherds Inn on Highway 97.

Fort St John frontline officers, Fort St John Fire Service and BC Ambulance Service all attended.

One driver was declared deceased on scene. BC Ambulance Service transported the second driver to the Fort St John Hospital with injuries for treatment.

The highway was shut down for approximately 7 hours while the North District RCMP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit attended to assist with the investigation.

Alcohol and road conditions are not believed to be a factor.
