Charges approved on the Terrace “Glue Bandit”

The Terrace RCMP received many reports of mischief between the months of October 2023 through February 2024, where the suspect caused damage by applying glue to the door locks of multiple local business. This eventually escalated to smashing of business windows. Some businesses fell victim to the acts of mischief several times.
In January 2024, police found reason to believe that these acts of mischief were being committed by one suspect and an arrest was made in March of 2024. (Glue Bandit arrested, media release)
In May 2024, the investigation was submitted to BC Prosecution Services for Charge approval.
On June 21, 2024, a primary information was sworn by indictment with approval of the following charges against Dale Boyd:
- 4 Counts of mischief by willfully damaging property in excess of $5000
Later, on August 13, 2024, a second information was sworn by indictment with approval of the following additional charges against Dale Boyd:
- 22 Counts of mischief by willfully damaging property in excess of $5000
A summons has been issued to Boyd which compels him to court to deal with the above-mentioned charges.
