Police seize firearm in the We Wai Kai First Nations community in Campbell River

At approximately 6:00 am on February 12th, 2024, the Campbell River RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious male who was on We Wai Kai First Nations property near the Quinsam Shell.
The report indicated that the male had been packing a case with what appeared to be a rifle in it and entered a nearby residence.
Police attended to the residence and located and seized a shotgun and ammunition. A 46 year old man who was known to police was arrested on scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Campbell River RCMP.
