Single vehicle collision claims the lives of two adults and one child

Early morning single vehicle collision ends in tragedy.

At approximately 1230 am Sunday morning, members of the Sea to Sky RCMP from Squamish and Whistler responded to a call for assistance from the BC Ambulance Service regarding a single motor vehicle collision. The vehicle with 4 occupants was travelling north on Highway 99 near Daisy Lake Dam.

3 occupants (2 adults and 1 child) were declared deceased at the scene and another adult female was transported to hospital where she is currently in stable condition.

ICARS attended and conducted a full investigation. At this time, the collision is not believed to be criminal in anyway.

"This is an absolute tragedy and our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the families, friends, and loved ones of those involved and who will be impacted by this loss. I also wish to personally thank the paramedics, officers, and investigators from all responding agencies for their response, life saving efforts, and assistance." says Inspector Robert Dykstra, Officer in Charge of the Sea to Sky RCMP.
