Oceanside RCMP News Release

Oceanside RCMP executed a search warrant at a Parksville residence on April 5 and located drugs, various weapons, and stolen property.

On the morning of April 5, 2023 Oceanside RCMP General Investigation Section, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Pioneer Crescent in Parksville. The warrant was authorized to search for drugs and weapons.

The search resulted in the seizure of various types and quantities of drugs, weapons including a firearm, and stolen property. Two occupants were arrested, one of whom had several outstanding arrest warrants.

As residents would have noticed a large and sustained police presence in the area, we wanted to provide as much information about our activities as possible to keep the public informed, says Sergeant Shane Worth of the Oceanside RCMP.

This continuing investigation requires further analysis and assistance from both the laboratory and RCMP forensic services prior to any charges being recommended to Crown Counsel. As no charges have been laid at this time, no further information or names can be released.
