2022-7964 Break, enter, and theft
On December 26, 2022, between 11:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., three suspects broke a window at a bike store in the 40100 block of Glenalder Pl., and stole three bikes. Police have various avenues of investigation left with this matter, and continue following up.
2022-7914 et al – Car collisions
On December 24, 2022 during the peak of the snow, rain, and cold weather snap, police attended to 11 motor vehicle incidents in one shift. Police also received three reports of road rage and drivers passing when unsafe during the same shift.
2022-7903 – BCHP Squamish winter tire check
On December 23, 2022, BC Highway Patrol Squamish did a winter tire check, checking 312 cars in an hour and a half, all of which were compliant with winter tire regulations.
2022-7846 – Fraud
On December 21, 2022, a representative from a local business reported a fraud for an amount of almost $75,000. The bank contacted the business to inform of the fraud, and all three – the business, the bank, and the police continue investigating or assisting with the investigation.
