
Large drug seizure

On December 3, 2022, while Kitimat RCMP officers were at a local residence for an unrelated investigation, police officers noted a large quantity of Canadian Currency as well as suspected cocaine and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence where police seized a large quantity of suspected Cocaine, Canadian Currency, firearms, illegal unstamped cigarettes, a large quantity of cannabis, and miscellaneous other drug trafficking items.
It was a great job by the officers to make this discovery during a different investigation, and get these items off the streets of our town, stated Sgt Rob Gardner, Acting Detachment Commander, Kitimat RCMP
There have been no arrests at this time, however the investigation is ongoing.
