Intoxicated in public

On November 16 at 4pm, a man reported he was nearly struck by a woman on a white electric bicycle and was able to provide a description of the woman. Police located the woman and the bicycle near the Reynolds hotel. The woman had slurred speech, appeared intoxicated and admitted to consuming alcohol that day. She was arrested for being intoxicated in public and transported to Lillooet cells with the bicycle, as she was unable to provide police with somewhere else to take her.

Man's canoe floats away

On November 19, a man reported to Lillooet RCMP that his friend had seen his canoe on the bank of a lake near the owner’s residence. The owner confirmed the canoe was not tied up, and likely drifted over to the bank given the wind direction. The man recovered the canoe and confirmed it was his with unique identifiers.

Vehicle smashed

On November 19 at 2pm, a woman reported her sedan vehicle that was parked on Murray St had its windows smashed. There were no witnesses, and no suspects. Police began conducting neighbourhood inquiries and were met at one residence by a man with blood on his shirt and a large cut on his right hand that required medical attention. The man admitted to smashing the vehicle’s window because he thought the vehicle was owned by a man he believed was sleeping with his girlfriend. The man was arrested, and later released pending further investigation.

Suspicious person

On November 21 at 6am, a woman reported a tall thin man wearing a bicycle helmet was fiddling with an oxygen tank outside of a commercial building. Police learned the man was actually an employee at the commercial building and had come into work early.
