Two men charged with multiple property crime offences in Dawson Creek

Two men have been charged with a multiple offences after being arrested by the Dawson Creek RCMP during an early morning break and enter.

On November 22nd, 2022 at 04:35 am the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress occurring in Pouce Coupe. Police attended the area and located a white Ford F350 pick up truck fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed. The truck drove through a ditch and rammed two fences before it was ultimately disabled. Two suspects fled from police on foot.

Adrian Meck aged 36 was arrested by police near by the scene hiding in bushes. Police Dog Service attended the scene and worked alongside responding police officers in locating Cody Gladue age 29, who surrendered and was arrested. The vehicle occupied by Cody and Adrian has been identified as the same truck that fled on police several times earlier in the night. Through further investigation the truck was confirmed to be stolen.

In relation to this interaction, Adrian has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime, mischief over $5000, flight from police, drive while disqualified, drive while drivers license is suspended and drive while prohibited.

Adrian has accumulated 18 charges spanning 5 different police files since August 2022. Adrian has been charged with a variety of offences including 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime, 3 counts of breach of a release order and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle amongst others.

In relation to this interaction, Cody has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime, breach of probation, mischief and flight from police. In addition to these charges Cody was charged with driving while prohibited from April of 2022.

The Dawson Creek RCMP would like to remind the public that reporting suspicious circumstance aids police in making arrests and recommending charges.
