Halloween related calls

On October 31, 2022, during the evening of Halloween, police helped a family at Tapley’s Halloween Celebration connect with their child who got lost for a short time. Members also participated in this celebration by handing out candy and attending the fireworks display. Police received no further Halloween related calls for service, and they report trick or treaters had good, safe fun during the evening.

2022-5481/2022-5480/2022-5478 – Drug seizures

During the evening of October 31, 2022, members were on Village Stroll foot patrol in the 4300 block Main St. during various times, and made three separate seizures of drugs believed to be cocaine. Seven people in total were involved with the police interactions, with one of them being local to Whistler. Given each amount of suspected drug was believed to be small and that no one had previous police histories with drugs, those arrested were released unconditionally. Police seized all the drugs and will be destroying.

2022-5433 – Break and enter

On October 27, 2022 at about 4:30 a.m., police received a report of break and enter from a business in the 4400 block Sundial Pl. Unknown suspect(s) broke into a store and ravaged through the front counter area, stealing vape oils. The suspect(s) left some evidence at the scene, and police are following up this and some other leads.
