2022-6063 Motor vehicle accident

On September 19, 2022, along Depot Rd., a motorcyclist collided with the driver of a pickup truck after the driver crossed lanes to turn. BC Ambulance took the motorcyclist to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both the pickup truck and motorcycle required towing, and police issued the driver of the pickup issued a violation ticket for improper left turn.

2022-6031 – Break, enter, and theft 

On September 17, 2022, sometime between 10:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., thieves entered a house in the 1500 block Eagle Drive, and stole items including antique jewelry, a pocket watch, silverware, and an antique opal ring. Police continue following up with this investigation.

2022-6020 – Motor Vehicle Act enforcement

On September 17, 2022, during the early evening, members did Motor Vehicle Act enforcement in the construction zone on Industrial Ave. at Highway 99, and issued four violation tickets for failing to obey traffic sign in a one-way lane.

2022-5928 – Mischief and theft

On the evening of September 14, 2022, thieves targeted a number of parked, vacant cars at the Garibaldi Trail Head lot. Multiple cars had windows smashed and items stolen, and the police investigation indicated thieves were mainly after money. Police encourage potential victims to report to the detachment or through online crime reporting.
