Drugs and firearm seized by Kitimat RCMP after responding to a disturbance

September 2, 2022 just before 4:00am Kitimat RCMP were called to attended a disturbance in a residence near the Nechako area. Police officers attended and subsequently arrested a man for obstruction after ongoing refusal to speak with police. During the search incident to arrest, a large bag of suspected cocaine was located on the man. Officers also noted a quantity of drug packaging and paraphernalia in the residence and a search warrant was subsequently executed.

During the search more than two thousand dollars, a variety of different suspected drugs including Cocaine, Heroin, Fentantyl, Steroids and assorted pills were seized along with a shotgun and other items.
