Whistler RCMP respond to shots fired

On July 24, 2022, at about 12:19 p.m., Whistler RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a local area hotel.

The investigation is in its early stages.  The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been engaged with local investigators, and other units are also supporting the investigation.

While this matter is very serious and the investigation is in its infancy, we can say there is no ongoing risk to public safety, says Corporal Angela Kermer, Media Relations Officer for the Sea to Sky RCMP.
