Shots fired, one man injured in drive by shooting

Terrace RCMP are looking for witnesses after one man was taken to hospital with gun shot wounds after a drive by shooting that occurred before midnight on May 12, 2022. His injuries are non-life threatening.

The incident occurred on the 2500 block of Pear Street on Thursday, May 12, at approximately 11:30 pm.

The shooting is believed to have been targeted and police believe that the public is not at risk in relation to this event.

The RCMP are looking for anyone who may have witnessed an altercation in front of the Terrace Inn Liquor Store at approximately 7:00 to 8:00 pm on May 12.

In addition, RCMP are asking that anyone with video surveillance in the neighbouring streets around Pear Street call police as suspect vehicles may have been driving in that area between 11:00 pm and midnight on May 12.
