The Terrace RCMP is partnering with Emergency Service Providers and Community Businesses to bring back the Bike Rodeo, Saturday, June 11, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The bike rodeo has been an annual favourite for kids and emergency service workers alike said Cst Kelly Cates, Community Police Officer for the Terrace RCMP. It was greatly missed in the past couple of years and it’s exciting to be bringing it back to the community!  It's a great event that teaches kids the importance of bike safety in a fun and interactive way, while also introducing them to emergency service workers who are there to support and help them.

The event is geared toward children of all ages. Registration will be held upon arrival on the day of the rodeo. Kids should arrive with a suitable helmet and bicycle to use during the event.

The free event will take place in the north west corner of the Skeena Mall Parking lot. The bike rodeo is a hands-on, interactive event, designed to teach children fundamental biking skills, road safety, and rules of the road. Kids can expect to receive goody bags, snacks, and a chance to win prizes.

More details about the day will be coming soon. For inquiries about donating to the Bike Rodeo, contact Cst Kelly Cates at 250-638-7400 or kelly.cates@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
