Kitimat RCMP remind the public to be drug aware.

On April 29, 2022 a male reported that he had found a small bag of drugs in the City Centre park near 952 Wakashan Ave, Kitimat, BC. The drugs were left on the ground near the playground. The responsible party has not been identified. Kitimat RCMP will be increasing foot patrols in the area.

Please do your due diligence when taking your children and animals to the parks. A quick sweep to confirm there are no dangerous items in the area will prevent issues. If your child ingests any unknown substance, please call 911. Any substances located that stand out as strange or unusual should be reported to the RCMP.

The Kitimat RCMP are continuing their investigation and ask anyone who can provide information in this matter or identify suspects to contact police by calling the non emergency line at 250-632-7111.
