Just after 7 p.m. on April 10, front line officers from the Golden RCMP were called to a mischief to mailboxes near Spillimacheen. The caller reported three people were destroying the mailbox in an attempt to gain access. The suspects had fled prior to police arrival but the caller provided a photo of the suspect vehicle to the officer.

The suspect vehicle was located, parked on the street in the 600-block of Nicholson Frontage Road, in Nicholson and later determined to have been stolen out of Calgary. A sawed off-shot gun and ammunition were seized from inside.

Officers located and arrested two men and woman inside a residence. All of whom initially provided false identities but have subsequently been identified as a 29-year-old man from Okotoks, a 30-year-old man from Windermere and a 28-year-old woman from Calgary. They have not been charged, as such they will not be identified.

Cpl. Michael Wilson of the Golden RCMP states, The 30-year-old man was found to have had four outstanding warrants out of the Columbia Valley and has since been arrested by Calgary Police in relation to another on-going investigation.
