Fort St John RCMP investigate shots fired at a residence

On April 5, 2022 at 1:00pm, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of what was believed to be bullet holes in a residence in the area of 92A Street/89th Avenue.

A large presence of frontline police officers and members of the Fort St John RCMP plain clothes unit attended the residence to investigate.

Frontline police officers confirmed the multiple holes to be bullet holes in the residence and have reason to suspect this was a targeted incident.

No one was located in the residence when police arrived and the property representative later stated no one was in the residence at the time the shooting was believed to have occurred.

The Fort St John RCMP have reason to believe that the gunshots occurred sometime between the early hours of April 4 to approximately 6:00am on April 5, 2022.

The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and is asking anyone that has not already spoken to police in this matter or has home video surveillance footage in the area showing suspicious activity during the time in question, or anyone who may have heard or witnessed the incident occur, to please contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
