1. 2022 - 1664 – Mischief
On March 15, 2022 Squamish RCMP was informed of vandalism to the overpass at Centennial Way. The graffiti is suspected to be hate-based references and anti-government slang. Any information regarding this mischief can be reported to Squamish RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
2. 2022 - 1755, 2022-1760, 2022-1763 – Theft from Vehicle
On March 20, 2022 Squamish RCMP received several reports of vehicles in the 1800 blk of Cedar Dr. and the 38000 blk of Westway Ave. in Valleycliff were broken into the night before or early morning on March 20th. An extensive amount of valuable items were stolen. Currently there is no video surveillance.
3. 2022 - 1754 – Theft of Vehicle
On March 20, 2022 Squamish RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 38000 block of Chestnut Ave. It was later recovered in Burnaby and the driver was arrested with the assistance of the registered owner and Burnaby RCMP.
4. 2022 - 1761 – Break and Enter
On March 20, 2022 a report to the Squamish RCMP revealed a B&E to two businesses in the 38000 blk of Westway Ave. No video surveillance available. Multiple items were stolen and the businesses left in disarray.
5. 2022 – 1769 – Stolen Vehicle with two different stolen licence plates
On March 21, 2022 a resident of Squamish phoned Squamish RCMP there was a van blocking the resident’s driveway. The vehicle was towed to Squamish Detachment after investigative avenues led to the Members awareness the van was stolen as well as the two different licence plates on the van. Upon search of the van, multiple items stolen from the previous days TFA’s in the above reports were recovered. The van was stolen out of Burnaby.
